​Dazhu County in Sichuan and other regions are applying new technologies to integrate bamboo into high-end intelligent manufacturing, achieving a leap from primary processing to precision manufacturing.

  • Bamboo Fiber Humanoid Robot: In February 2026, China’s first bamboo-fiber panda-shaped humanoid robot, “Zhu Da,” was unveiled in Chengdu. Its outer shell and load-bearing joint modules utilize a bamboo fiber composite material​ extracted via ultrasonic micro-airflow green separation technology, with a bamboo fiber content of up to 60%. The entire robot weighs less than 30 kg, offering both lightweight construction and high strength.

  • New 3D Printing Materials: Through advanced processing, bamboo fibers are refined into innovative materials such as bamboo crystal fiber, which can serve as a “green foundation” for 3D printing, expanding the application of bamboo in precision manufacturing.
